I have reinstalled the game and added the Silent patch. I've got rid of the downloaded dinput8.dll file. But here's a malfunction report, in this case your patch isn't solving the mouse problem. For a day after installing the Silent patch, the mouse worked perfectly. Today it worked perfectly too, for about 1-2 hours.
This game would cause my mouse to freeze in game and would crash when pressing esc or when trying to save. But I found a minor fix that lets me play the game. 1. Start up the game and when you get to the start menu exit the game. 2. Then start up the game again and load a save or start a new game. For what ever reason this works for me.
