Hi there, I've just gone thru similar with my "2016 AUDI Q7 3.0 TDI 218 Quattro S Line", we are only on 46k miles. Have spent just short of 2k gbp with local service centre, replacing water pump, thermostat, valve, oil cooler due to coolant leaking out on to everything and not being visible on any previous services.

Per the owner’s manual of an Audi Q7, regular gas (87 octane) is the minimum required fuel type, but premium gas (91 octane) is recommended: Source. In simple terms, if you fill up your Audi Q7 with regular (87 octane) gas, it will run safely. Any lower-octane fuel (lower than 87), and you risk damaging the fuel system or engine.
I thought Touareg has 10 year/100K Powertrain warranty. Audi Q7 I thought was 5 or 6 year 60K Powertrain warranty. Dealer should fix it under warranty simply because it’s not right. Assuming you still have warranty. May have to talk nicely to the service manager.
